Free Rose Bookmarks

Hi folks,

I found something else to create :).  Well, actually I remembered that I wanted to make more stationery sets; so, that is what I did. hahahahaha  I uploaded 6 sets today: A5 sets and A6 kits, featuring 3 designs.  The A6 kits still include a gift box, but I made some changes to the A5 kits.  They now include a fancier collection of journal card inserts with decoupage shapes and bookmarks with quotes.  As usual, you can see them all here.

Today's freebie is a set of four bookmarks from the Autumn Bouqet set.  Just right click on the image, below, and save it to your computer.

I have already created the papers for over 20 sets; so, there will be more to come.  I just have to work on making the other bits that complete each set first.

Enjoy :)!

Free Art Deco Alphas

Happy Tuesday folks :)!

This week's update is another set of three cards for the men in your life.  They aren't as authentically art deco as the last batch, because of the antique car used in the designs, but they still have the same look and feel.  The paintings used as backdrops, the motifs, colors and lettering are what do it :).

There are, of course, quick cards with inserts for each kit, and, since they are 5x7's, cut and fold quick cards, too; so, come on by and grab a few :)!

This week's freebie is a set of three alphas that I designed while creating the kits.

I'm a bit stuck as to where to go from here but, stay tuned.  I'm sure I'll come up with something :).

Free Art Deco Argyle Background Paper

Hi guys,

As promised, this week's update is all about the boys.  I created three art deco man's cards: Navy, rugby and golf using the fabulous artwork of J.C. Leyendecker.  I will be creating at least three more cards to add to this collection, maybe more.  It depends on how many more pieces of this artist's work I can find because, right now, six decidedly masculine images are all that I have.

After that, I am thinking that I will create a few more cards for men using a style of art deco work that I don't think many are familiar with: Italian Futurism.  The Futurist Movement resulted in the creation of some fascinating artwork that I think technically minded men and women would both enjoy.  They're colorful and imaginative works with a bit of a Picasso-esque feel and definitely something uniquely different for you to create with!

This week's freebie is an art deco argyle background that I created while designing the Pierrot and Pierrette kit from my last update.  Just right click on the image to save it to your computer.

Free Art Deco Backgrounds

Hi guys,

I got lost in public domain Art Deco art, again, the other day, and discovered some fantastic images that I can't wait to kit up for you!  Some of the pieces will make fantastic cards for the menfolk in your lives, too.  I'm going to work on those, next :).

For today, I have created 3 more Art Deco lady kits but, this time, they all feature dancers: Pierrot & Pierrette, a gypsy and a ballerina.  There are quick cards, as well and, as usual, you will find all of my new products here.

Today's freebie is a set of the three floral backgrounds that I created while designing the kits :).

Maybe next week I'll even come up with something more to talk about other than what I'm creating. hahahahahah  In the meantime, back to it I go :).

Happy Crafting,

Free Backgrounds

Hi folks,

If you celebrate it, then I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  If you don't, then here's hoping you just had a wonderful week :).  We had two feasts: one with the extended family on Thanksgiving Day and the other with just our household at the Chinese buffet. hahahahahaha  It was sublime :).

Even with all the preparations for feast day, I still had time to whip up a few new card making kits.  Now that the holidays are drawing near, I have started on something new: a collection featuring Art Deco ladies that can be used for any occasion.  I'm not really seeing stationery with these; so, I am just going to make a few more cards and then bundle up some bumper kits and a paper pack.  I do plan to create more stationery sets though, I'm just not sure when, yet.

As usual, you can click on the photos to go directly to the product, or click here to see the quick cards, too. Your freebie for today is a set of three backgrounds that I created while designing these kits.  Enjoy :)!

The new kits are included in the 20% off sale that I'm running from now through Monday, 11/27, too.

Happy Shopping :)!

Free 5x7 Cut and Fold Solstice Card

Hi folks,

Are you ready for Thursday?  Family and fun and food, oh my!  Around here we keep things relatively simple; so, being ready is easy peesy.  This year won't be quite as easy as we'd hoped, though, because we ended up having to cook instead of going out for Chinese food like we'd planned. hahahahahahah  The folks in my home are still going to go out for Chinese, just not until after the rest of the family has left; so, we're going to have to cook up some sides in order to feed them, first.  They're bringing the main course this year - yay :)!

Which, of course, gave me plenty of time to wrap up the last of my winter holiday greeting cards for 2017 (another yay :)!).  For today's update I created one more solstice card using a vintage winter scene and then created a third card style for each of the four cards in the collection: a shaped poinsettia framed oval card.  I really love the way this collection turned out.  Hopefully you will too :).

I also added a ton of quick cards, for each of the card styles, for those of you who are looking for something fast and easy or are needing last minute greetings.  As usual, you will find all of the new cards here.

My special offers for this week include another batch of winter holiday cards at 30% off, if you'd like to snag a few of those while you're there, too.  And, your freebie for this week is below.  Just right click and save it to your computer :).

Happy Eating Day, everybody :)!

Free 5x7 Print & Fold Yule Card

Hi folks,

Back again with another update: The Yule cards that I mentioned on Tuesday.  I created three cards using the same basic design around vintage greeting cards that depict winter scenes.  As I mentioned, the idea for the design came to me while I was sleeping and I absolutely love the way my dream manifested :)!

By next Tuesday I hope to have several more variations completed as well as a third card style that I'm in the process of perfecting.  The stationery sets, bumper kits and maybe another gradient paper pack will be available by next Friday, though; so, watch this space :)!

This weeks freebie is a 5x7 cut and fold quick card from the Winter Solstice kit.  Just right click on the image and save it to your computer.

Free Christmas Scene Ornaments Decoupage Sheet

Hi folks,

Today I wrapped up the vintage Russian collection with stationery sets & kits, cracker boxes, and quick cards and added a new paper pack bumper kit of beautiful Christmas and winter gradients.  I also uploaded a few more items for the vintage Christmas scene collection that I'd forgotten about; so, that's wrapped up, too :).  As usual, there is a small preview below and you can find the rest here.
My next update will feature Yule card that, if you wish, you can modify for use as Christmas cards.  The designs will incorporate pentacles, triskeles, and other pagan symbols as decoupage bits that you can choose to omit from your finished product.  It is a magically elegant design that came to me in my sleep :).

Today's freebie is a set of three ornaments that I created while designing the cards in the vintage Christmas scene collection.  Just right click on the image and save it to your computer.  If you use them to create your own designs, I would love to see them :)!

Have an inspired week!

Free Vintage Russian Inspired Papers

Hi folks,

It's that time, again :)!  No new designs this week, just new card styles: standard, rocker, or wobble, if you prefer, shaped (oval & qua-trefoil), and my piece de resistance: teapot shaped cards with tea cups that you can fill with treats.  I absolutely love the way the tea sets turned out!

To me, they are gender neutral designs that any lover of vintage Russian art would enjoy; so, I created teabag tag sentiments for everyone that I could think of (16 total). hahahahahahah  You can also make the cards in one of two ways: as a slider or as a teapot shaped card with a coordinated insert.  You can see them all here.

Next Tuesday I will wrap up the collection with the stationery sets, quick cards and bumper kits; so, stay tuned :).  In the meantime, here is your freebie for this week.  As you may have guessed, it is a set of papers with the patterns I used to create the cards.

Enjoy :)!

Free Printable Vintage Russian Christmas Card

Hi folks,

Back again with another update.  This time I decided to take a trip to old Russia.  Despite what I think of their government - past or present, I love vintage Russian artwork!  The colors and patterns used to create Matryoshka dolls, greeting cards, intricately decorated eggs and Zhostovo paintings just dazzle me.

(Speaking of eggs, have you seen those by Pysansky?  They are gorgeous!  Not vintage, not even technically Russian - he's from the Ukraine, but still gorgeous :)!)

This is true of the artwork and clothing that I find in many cultures: Indian, Asian, African, etc., as well.  I am apparently drawn to things that are often dubbed "exotic" by those who are not so inclined.  I'm thinking that it may have something to do with my gypsy nature, but who cares?  I like what I like :).  And, hopefully, some of you like it too. hahahahhaha

As usual, there are 3 new cards in this collection and a random bumper kit of paisley papers that I found while cleaning up my folders. hahahahahaha  Enjoy :)! sleighcard-making-kit.cfm

Today's freebie is a cut and fold quick card from the Vintage Russian Christmas Santa Sleigh 7x5 Card Making Kit.  Just right click on the image, below, and save it to your hard drive, print, cut and fold.

I have actually created five variations of one of the cards but, since I am still working on the others, I will wait to add them on Friday.  Spoiler alert: one of the variations is an adorable teapot card and  tea cup gift box set.  I'm not sure why but, when I think Russian, I think tea.  If any of you know, please share. hahahahahaha

See you Friday :)!
