Free Festive Holday Papers Gift

Hi folks,

This week I wrapped up the Victorian angels with stationery sets and cracker boxes, and started on a set of scenic cards.  When thinking of what to blog about today, other than just my new products, of course, I decided that I would share with you the most recent sources of my inspiration.

The first is the beautiful card that I stumbled upon white looking for the scallop edged template that I shared with you last week.

It didn't lead to the creation of free standing cut out wedding wobblers, though.  Instead I created many layered and colorful Christmas rocking wobblers :).

The inspiration for my new collection: Ornament Shaped Christmas Scenes actually came from a Victorian greeting card that features one:

As you will see, I, again, did not replicate the card (as I sometime do) but, instead, used it as a catalyst to create my own version of glass encased winter scenery.

Sometimes, as creatives, we get stuck for ideas and searching for inspiration can be a great way to get unstuck.  There are others, as well, like going for a walk or listening to music.  An artist friend of mine posted an interesting bid for inspiration on Facbook the other day, too: she asked her friends to give her random prompts.

For those of us who make a living with our creations, or even those who just want to make something special to let another know they care, generating ideas in a stagnant mind can sometimes be a challenge.  So, find your inspiration where ever you can and,if you come up with some interesting sources, please share :)!

Now, on with the show!

First, I just wanted to mention that I still have a dozen Christmas card making kits for 30% off this week; so, if you'd like to snag a few cheap beauties, now would be the time :).  Second, here are a few of the stationery sets I added to finish out the Victorian angels collection:

And, finally, a sample of the new collection.  The blue and bunny scenes are in available in 4 different styles: ornament shaped, qua-trefoil shaped, wobble and standard square or rectangle cards but, the church scene is only available in 3.  I didn't think it worked too well as a wobbler.

There will, of course, be stationery sets and cracker boxes available soon, but I think I may whip of a few more cards, first.  The ornaments, themselves, will also be available as a designer resource pack when I wrap the collection up, as will a fabulous set of Christmas papers, three of which are your gift for putting up with me today :).

Here's hoping you stay inspired :)!
